The Detroit Lions have officially revealed that they will be honoring OT Lomas Brown by inducting him into the prestigious Pride of the Lions display at Ford Field. This momentous occasion is scheduled to take place during halftime at their Homecoming game on October 30, 2023. The game, which is set to kick off at 8:15 PM, will be a Monday Night Football showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pride of the Lions is a permanent exhibit that pays tribute to the most illustrious players in the franchise’s history. This year, he will join the ranks of legendary figures celebrated in this esteemed showcase.

The surprise announcement was made by Detroit Lions President and CEO Rod Wood. Brown, who was providing color commentary for the Lions Radio Network during the preseason opener against the New York Giants at Ford Field, was taken aback by the news. The roster of esteemed members also includes names like CB Lem Barney, S Jack Christiansen, QB Dutch Clark, OL Lou Creekmur, K Jason Hanson, CB Dick “Night Train” Lane, S Yale Lary, QB Bobby Layne, CB Dick LeBeau, RB Barry Sanders, TE Charlie Sanders, LB Joe Schmidt, G Dick Stanfel, RB Doak Walker, and OL Alex Wojciechowicz.
